Made the moist summer of nineteen ninet-eight at the little blue house at New Light studios. This book is based on the experiments in kite making that were going on at the time. Subsequent investigations have led to finding out about the Malay Wau-Lau kite orchestras, but that is another story. Split dried Bamboo was bound together, bent and coaxed to make the frames for the translucent pages of Seikshu lamenated around the flora from the driftless region of Wisconsin. The rich soil, the hum of the cicadas, the distant rainstorms raging and stretching cats were there in the making of this favorite. So delicate,when held up to light the fine shadows of the plants are revealed.
