This is a book of travel. In traveling I believe we are in a state of suspended reality, a hyper real space within the frame work of life. We as people were doomed to restless wandering with our movement from the protection of the branches. It is the reflection of the paper around us that fascinates me so in these different places. Each place holds a puzzle piece not found elsewhere. And so discarded and not seen as an object of reverence and worthy of careful consideration by those for whom it is but a ticket stub or cigar band or match book. For me these are the artifacts of a culture on the rampage. From Wisconsin to Chile to New York this book travelled a secreted rider to bring some of these objects and images back. The paper strata is niddigin and glassine. The resucitive powers of one Nugent J. Viatallo were exercised over the exterior after it's voyage to bring a stronger book to the reading world. It is singular in this world but has many relatives.
