"Chickens today feathers tomorrow"
Artichoke Yink Press
Author: Felice Tebbe
In the summer of 1997 Felice and the publisher dyed the sheets edges cardinal red, scarlet, Crimson. All in a back yard a stones throw from the Atlantic. The sky was blue, the trees very green, and the sheets of paper fluttered white and red on the clothes line. Felice later took the sheets with her to Iowa. There she did mono prints on the pre dyed sheets, keeping the red for-edge untouched. The winter in Iowa is given potent representation in the subtle variation of color and hue, all the while the red horizon line continues. Felice sent the pages to Booklyn; where they were sorted and folded, collated. Shon Schooler then bound the books onto dun colored cotton tapes mounted into Burgundy raw silk covered boards. Barcelona over Dyed black end sheets with portals cut to reveal a perfect disk of sky and earth.
