This book was bound, disassembled, and rebound four times. Each time it was rebound, the orientation of the pages and activation techniques changed. First bound as a landscape format, then as a closed foredge format, then as a alternating varient position star shaped text block, and finally a polygonal spade shape. The memory of each binding is present with the creases and oreintation of the text. The pages are cotton Sommerset that have been dyed with tumeric, beets, and ink. Marshall added fragments of poetry at each stage. Kurt applied wax frotage from various public works surfaces. The covers are covered with cork paper and papyrus, with a leather spine. The title refers to the liberation from the enslavement of ideology.
