The first book of David's photographs ever published. The photographs in this edtion of twenty five are the smallest fraction of the entire body of work. At David's last count, the total number of Poloroid prints was about thirty five thousand originals. Using stencils, paint, and mirrors dave has taken the self portrait to places throughout the realm of possibility. The teachings of Rudolph Steiner,the permissions of Lucas Samaras and Francis Bacon, and the the direct tutelage of Minor White all show through this diary of photographs. The fleeting mask of a cloud covered face, the mime, the actor and the shaman inhabit these images. Intersteller, pychedelic, and relentlessly personal; these pictures are waking dreams captured in the moment of creation. This hard cover book was printed color xerox from the originals onto one hundred percent cotton stock, the casing has been hot foil stamped with the title.
