Normality

Edition: 1
Year: 1996
This is the sibling book to FIAT. Made in the winter of '97 in the smallest apartment in New York. The exploration of the idea of multi-level pages began here for the two codanauts or Libronauts (new words refering to the travellers in the book). The collageswere glued onto the pages and then cut out. The resulting outlines become the fetishized portals onto the next page/s. Falling down the rabbit hole indeed. This volume highlights Vitallo's binding skills with a leather and echizen Washi irridescent wrapped boards, three layered pages, and the fore-edge extension span (a small tent or mountain range in the intertices between the signatures). Odd.
Price: In a fancy antiqued clamshell. Six hundred dollars.
