Scott Teplin's fascination with surgery and medical implements brought him to manifesting these improbable knot forms. The knots were drawn in pen and ink by Mr. Teplin over the course of the pleasant and eventful summer of nineteen ninety six. The publisher was drawn to the hypnotic twisting and traveling the eye does while looking at the drawings. The knots are serigraphs on Fabriano, Rives, and Arche one hundred percent cotton watercolor paper. Each signature was hand cut thus "violating" the page strata to reveal previous and forthcoming knots. This engaged the four dimensions of the books sequence, and brings the reader to many junctions for play in their mediation of the page faces. The hand cutting was executed by Scott, the publisher, and the ever indolent Dylan Graham. The Coptic binding taught by the venerable Walter Hamaday was employed by Nugent J. Vitallo and the publisher with adhesive mounted board covers. The optional protective clamshell boxes were made specifically by Shon S. Schooler. There are twenty books in this edition.
Price: Five copies remain at the price of six hundred and fifty dollars in box.
