This is a companion to the books in the 4 U series, and the book 23. These books explore the utility of packaging after dispersal of contents. The binders cloth hinged laminate pages hold transparently the worn pieces of ephemera, juxtaposing back to front to back. The chance relationships in finding these printed objects are referenced within the formal structure; through visual punning, overlay, and interpolation. The cultural and semantic leaps of cognition are dynamic in this book, and demand an imaginative attention from the reader. The transparent plastic host exposes the intent of ordering; the Page as container for symbolic narrative exposition. The paper wrappers are from Asia, Europe, Russia, Latin America, and the united states. The packaging is from fireworks, soap, cigarettes, candy, matches, spark plugs, coffee, herbs, beer labels, ticket stubs, stamps, jam labels and light bulb boxes. Each has a different logos, a logic to it's icons and symbols. When brought together they form a holographic portrait of one consumer's symbolic resonance from the streets of the world.
